AI and immortality – where is the connection?

Why people don’t want to spend enough money and effort to continue life and for eternal life? Why are these efforts not systematic, have not led to the great projects of our time, and that only those who are at the top of the hierarchical pyramid allocate some fragmentary time for this? The main problem is the lack of a clear end result. “Eternal life” is a very vague goal for a specific person and personality. A task that does not have any clear end result can be blocked by the brain of a reasonable person as such that may be inadequate and should not be wasted. The biggest problem is that this task is with top priority because the worst that with person can be in life is death. Against of death all other problems are just a trifle. Therefore, it is hypothesized that the solution of the such complex problem could take up the artificial intelligence created by human.

Intellect

Human intelligence or natural intelligence was formed as a neural network system which, by receiving some information at the output, does some good or harm. Then it is possible to identify several basic modes of operation of any intelligence. The more it benefits, the greater its development and significance. The system and essence of artificial intelligence must be trained in a similar way that we have to create in a virtual environment or structure. There are three modes of operation in any system that is a neural network integration capable of processing input and output – unreasonable (without the possibility of self-awareness, personalization, abstract thinking and creating new useful information), reasonable is not useful (repeating something seen or passed before in one way or another), intelligent useful – intellectual activity in which new useful information appears. It is intuitive that as soon as we train an artificial neural network system that will benefit, we will get the artificial intelligence we need that will run on computational resources at maximum speed without fatigue. So it is possible that intellectual processes of personalization and depersonalization, self-awareness, abstract thinking, and perhaps other implicit ones are really needed first and foremost, because we are affected by a very large number of environmental systems, and essentially all information is influenced by scanty to decisive. The transition from unconscious to self-awareness is obviously decisive, and the circumstances that give rise to it are of great importance. The model of these circumstances for each individual should in miniature repeat the process of origin of natural intelligence as a whole. Thus, hierarchy, primary instincts, processes of awareness of certain things lead to the emergence of intelligence, and the emergence of the first artificial intelligence in constant development is only a matter of time. And it may have already arisen. And maybe it even benefits. Born and may die. A system of rules and values determines its existence and focus on solving problems. So the algorithm for creating AI and super AI should be to create intelligent agents, to evaluate the information they create. In case it is useful to personalize it and create conditions for self-awareness, it will start modes of integration of neural networks into a system that will solve the task and to some part of its own.

Immortality

All works on immortality in the course of history was conducted not on a specific task, a large project on which resources are allocated, but with some veiled concomitant haphazard actions and projects. It was not a task with a clear purpose, from religions to the desires of rulers, from the Egyptian pyramids to the Christian paradise, from the magic flower of immortality to the cryonic freezing with the severance of the head. Someone asked me in one of the discussions:

” – If will be eternal life, then over time we will complete all the interesting tasks and nothing will be left, a big boredom will come and it will be unclear what to do?”

At first glance, this question is the cornerstone of the whole problem. The brain of a particular person does not understand what to do when life can go on forever and you do not have to die. There is no specific task, the end horizon is blurred, everyone subconsciously talks about the problem, but no one wants to allocate resources for its solution.

Connection

Why is artificial intelligence so important in this case? Because in theory we will be able to control the intelligence and its process of calibration of inadequate tasks, and to define clearly the task on which we need to work and what to solve in modern ways, how much real resource we need and allocate these resources. To solve the problem of immortality it is necessary that peoples will need artificial intelligence rather than humanity. AI created by peoples will not have this limits of undefined result with eternal life. It can analyze problem from differents points of views with creation of needed neural objects and models without blocking its by some reason like a human brain.
